Government/DoD Auditor

Job Type:    Full time

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree

Category:    Audit/Accounting/Finance

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform internal control testing; evaluate controls, and develop/document/implement emergent corrective actions
  • Review and recommend revision to existing process documentation
  • Perform substantive testing on personal property; document and implement emergent corrective actions; schedule, conduct follow-up, and close all personal property outstanding actions
  • Perform valuation of assets deficient of original source funding and supporting documentation

Education/Qualifications/Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
  • DoD experience as a military service member, civil servant, or defense contractor a plus
  • Auditing, audit readiness, IT systems controls, program segment testing, and other accounting relevant accounting 
  • Firm understanding of DoD Financial Management and Accounting principles
  • Familiarity with FISCAM and SSAE16 requirements
  • Familiarity with Accounting Conformance  
  • Mission focused and able to multi-task
  • Track all project deadlines and follow-up on their timely completion
  • Strong organizer and analyzer
  • CPA and /or CISA certification is preferred

Candidates must be a US citizen and able to pass a government background investigation.
